Modest
Mouse Tours, Pushes Back Album

Cross that new Modest Mouse album off your
Christmas list as it won't be in stores in time to stuff your stocking.
The band announced
that it scrapped plans to dump its upcoming album, We Were Dead Before
the Ship Even Sank into the Christmas shopping spree on Dec. 19. Instead,
the follow-up to 2004's Good News for People Who Love Bad News (Epic)
(read Aversion's review), will surface sometime in early 2007 from Epic.
No release date for the set, the first to feature former Smiths guitarist
Johnny Marr in the act' s lineup (read full story) has been revealed.
To help soothe the
delay (at least in a few cities), Modest Marr will play a handful of appearances
next month. Its tour schedule is:
Nov. 5 - Avalon, Los
Angeles
Nov. 6 - Wiltern Theatre, Los Angeles
Nov. 7, 9 - The Grove, Anaheim, Calif.
Nov. 11 - Bang! Festival, Miami
Nov. 13 - "Cellular" Theater, New York
Nov. 14-15 - Webster Hall, New York
Nov. 17-18 - Bowery Ballroom, New York
Nov. 21 - Koko, London
